Another thing I hate in relationships---taking breaks. I believe that 95% of the time they are just the step before the breakup inserted to make the ending less painful.
They just seem pointless to me unless the couple wants to reevaluate the entire relationship.
I had a friend who was dating a guy who had zero communication skills for a few months.
He called her one day and told her: You know I was thinking I need to focus on other things. We should take a break. I'll speak with you in a month.
She was so shocked: I won't speak with you in a month. I won't speak with you ever.
