Bad things to say after a broken engagement

After I got disengaged, people had reactions. Some of them were pleasant and showed care, however some comments made me stare open mouthed into space and wonder where those people forgot their brains for the day.

Some of them I typed up below (people actually said these things):

1) –Mazal Tov!
- I am not engaged anymore
- I am not surprised
2) –Mazal Tov!
-I am not engaged anymore
-I knew something was off the whole time
(Thank you for not saying anything)

3) –Hey, I called to wish you a mazal tov. Personally, I think you are too young to get engaged, you obviously don’ t think so
--Actually, I am not engaged anymore
--See, I know what I am talking about (You are truly a genius)

4) –I am not engaged anymore
-G-d must be punishing you for dating for a long time, next time you’ll do it quick and right

5) -Mazal Tov
- I am not engaged anymore
- Great, so I can date your ex now? (Whatever you want, darling)

6) --It’s over, I am not engaged anymore
--It’s ok, You’ll be smarter next time

6) –You know how I found out you are left wing?
-How?
-Because you believe in disengagement….

If you have more to add, please share

Below are some of the kinder reactions

1) Better now than later (a divorce with babies, ouch)
2) We’ll find you someone better
3) You had a boyfriend, now go find a husband
4) If you need me, I am here to talk
5) I love you and if I could I would marry you (that is a joke)
