Better Older and Divorced than Older and Single

A friend was debating the idea of remaining single for longer or just getting married even if the likelihood of divorce in a few years was quite high. 

I said: "GET MARRIED." 

Now, it is not like I am obsessed with marriage or anything. 

I just think that at a certain stage in life, some sort of committed relationship in the past ends up being more beneficial to a person than absolutely no experience whatsoever. 

If you are going out with a forty year old who was never married, or in an Orthodox community that would be a thirty three year old, you can't help but wander about what is wrong with the person who couldn't ever get married.

Whereas if the person was married at least for a year or two (preferably no children), then at least you know that he followed the normal course in life. 

Life is too short to waste. Get Married. Later you could get divorced.
