Thoughts on the YU Beacon Article

I was quite disappointed after reading the YU Beacon article.
I am not against free speech.
I am against poor pointless writing.
The Curious Jew put it well here.

Something that bothered me about the article which was not touched upon by the Curious Jew was that

1) The author was anonymous. 
COME ON! Writing something like that without telling us who you are. Seriously!

2) Why did she feel a need to change her identity? 
It's not like frum people don't engage in mating acts.
You and I were born somehow after all, weren't we.
And even sinning. People sin. That doesn't mean you have to change your persona and move to another country every time you do so.
The author implies that she could not have had relations had she remained in her "cute" frum attire.

3) Come on. That relationship was a bad one if not abusive. 
Poor girl. Had to get herself drunk to let it happen.
The guy got what he wanted and ran for the hills.
 She was left alone with all her raw emotional dilemmas and wasn't offered any emotional support.
THERAPY 101! Help!

4) This article confirms my suspicions.
Frum Satire is a total son-of-a-zonah.

Just a note there to everyone who is dating...

Keep your eyes wide open for signs of abuse before marriage.
It can save you a lot of pain later.

I was quite close with a friend who married over a year ago.
I saw her recently at a public function.
Her eyes were drawn and tired.
I greeted her husband who I used to be quite friendly with.
He ignored me and stared directly ahead of me.
My friend looked miserable.

She didn't say anything. I didn't ask.

My heart ached for her that night.  

Malka Leifer

I've been intrigued by the Malka Leifer case since she has been accused in 2008.
And I wondered what she looked like.
And I did not expect her to look like this.
It must be horrific to have this super frummy looking principal preaching fear of G-d, Tznius, and Kollel marriages... the rebbetzin, the mother of eight kids...taking students into her office and having inappropriate relationships.

Our eyes have become accustomed to accounts of male molestation and sexual misbehaviour.
A woman for some reason stirkes more of a cord in me.

Flowers Aren't Enough
